The strong characterization here easily matches, and possibly surpasses, Ubisoft's work in the highly regarded Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Their interactions are witty without sacrificing subtlety, cute without being saccharine. I can sort of understand it based on my understanding of the Prince and Elika, but I still hate it.Ĭommentary: This game gets beat up on quite a bit, so I think it's fair to lead with some positives.įirst off, I can say that remarkable chemistry develops between the Prince and Elika as you play the game.

I appreciate that the final decision is technically in your hands, but since there's no option to walk away and leave Elika dead / Ahriman trapped, the "to be continued" ending with Elika alive and Ahriman free feels like the "true" ending. I was never threatened this time around so I'll likely give World Cup mode a try soon as it ups the difficulty significantly. I still enjoy this simple game and come back to it every now and then just to experience it all over again. This can be blocked, however, by the defensive player repeatedly hitting the jump button while blocking. It features the typical bump, set, spike moves but also has a power-up where if you press the jump button several times before swinging you perform a "KABOOOOOOOOM!!" which sends any player flying that gets in the way. I've practiced before with other teams but just can't get over how slow they are. I've always played with the team known for their speed. There are several different teams to choose from, each with their strengths and weaknesses. Good memories of my father and brothers having Super Spike tournaments. In fact, it was one of the few games my dad would ever play with us kids on the Nintendo. It's 2 on 2 beach volleyball at its 8 bit finest. Super Spike V'ball is very much a game from my childhood. The hard mode is World Cup, which I've also beaten before. I beat the American Circuit which is essentially this game's Normal difficulty mode. Here are some suggestions of what to include in your entry: Can be 'main quest beaten,' 'final boss defeated,' 'saw end credits' or something along those lines).
